Straight answers

What the signal can—and cannot—tell you.

Good prospecting starts by separating a public project record from a qualified opportunity.

Does a permit mean the job is still available?

No. A contractor may have chosen suppliers and subcontractors before a permit is issued. Early planning records may be more useful than issued permits for some trades.

Will every record have a phone number or email?

No. Contact fields differ sharply by jurisdiction. Some public feeds include contractor details; others do not include usable phone fields. Contact presence does not confirm accuracy or outreach permission.

Can you sell the underlying records?

That depends on each source and its terms. Public access does not automatically grant redistribution rights.

Start with the buyer, then show the right project.

See how the same public signal supports a different next move for each team.
